Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated individual to join our team as the Assistant Chief. The Assistant Chief will play a pivotal role in supporting the Chief in managing and overseeing all aspects of our search and rescue operations. This position requires a strong background in law enforcement, leadership, and emergency response.


Key Responsibilities:

Assist the Chief in planning, coordinating, and executing search and rescue missions.

Supervise and mentor team members, ensuring high standards of performance and professionalism.

Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and readiness of the search and rescue team.

Collaborate with local, state, and federal agencies to ensure effective and coordinated response efforts.

Manage administrative tasks, including budgeting, reporting, and resource allocation.

Participate in community outreach and education programs to promote safety and awareness.

Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.


Qualifications:

Retired and not currently working.

Minimum of 15 years of prior law enforcement experience or emergency management.

Proven leadership skills with experience in managing teams and operations.

Strong knowledge of search and rescue techniques, protocols, and best practices.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to remain calm and make critical decisions under pressure.

Valid driver's license and the ability to pass a background check.
