Schedule Physical Ability Test

***If you have a pack bring it, if not we will loan you one. BRING WATER AND BUG SPRAY!*** When you get to Oak Mountain State Park tell the gate you are with Alabama Search and Rescue and are going to the North Trailhead for testing. They will say okay and let you enter with no charge. Do not speed in the park, the rangers run radar. The north trailhead is approx. 5.5 miles from the gate off I-65 and 1.0 mile from the gate off 280/119. Once at the north trailhead, park in the large parking lot (not the small one) and wait at the back of your vehicle. You will be meeting with LT. Austin Snider, he will be wearing a bright red shirt with a white round ALSAR logo on the front pocket. Use this link to get driving directions. https://maps.app.goo.gl/yRtKpUhhtKSpjojDA
